By creating an account or using e1099f you agree to these Terms. The separate Filing Terms you accept at checkout govern each specific order and are incorporated here by reference.
The service
e1099f is software that helps you prepare and electronically file IRS information returns (currently Forms 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, and 1099-K) as an authorized IRS transmitter. We transmit the data you provide; you are the filer and remain responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of your filings.
Not affiliated with the IRS or SSA
e1099f is a private company. We are not the IRS, the Social Security Administration, or any other government agency, and we are not endorsed by them. "File directly with the IRS" refers to electronic transmission through the IRS IRIS system as an authorized transmitter.
Not tax or legal advice
e1099f does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. You are responsible for determining what you must file, for which recipients, and by when. Consult a professional if you are unsure.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate payer, recipient, TIN, and amount data.
- Have authority to file on behalf of the payer and to furnish recipient copies.
- Review every form before payment and transmission.
- Keep your account credentials secure.
Address verification and mailing delivery
We check mailing addresses against the USPS database to help recipient copies arrive. When you save an address USPS cannot confirm is deliverable — or you keep your entered address instead of the USPS-suggested correction — you accept sole responsibility for that address. A 1099 copy mailed to an unverified or incorrect address may not be delivered, and e1099f is not liable for non-delivery or for any resulting IRS penalty. You remain responsible for the accuracy of every address you provide.
Fees and payment
Fees are shown in your cart before checkout and on our Pricing page. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid for the affected order. We are not liable for IRS penalties resulting from inaccurate data you supplied or from filings made after a deadline.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service to file fraudulent returns, to access data that is not yours, or to disrupt the platform.
